Plains Geometry

The western plains are a mosaic of squares, rectangles, and circles that resembles a patchwork quilt or a geometric jigsaw puzzle. In this image the brown and tan areas are bare fields from recently harvested wheat, while the green round center-pivot irrigated fields are corn that is just beginning to grow.

This image of Northwest Kansas, in southern Cheyenne County, was acquired using high altitude aerial photography in the late Spring of 2006. The image is located at 39.36.21 degrees N lat., -101.50.22 W long.

The print comes mounted on quality stretcher bars using a gallery style wrap (image wraps around the side) so that framing is optional.
