Rainbow Rock In the Southeastern region of Iran, near the Pakistan border, lies this section of rock layers that have been slowly eroded away. The high point is the tan area at the bottom center, then as the plateau has eroded, it has exposed a rainbow of rock layers. This image was acquired by the Enhanced Landsat Thematic Mapper Satellite
in May of 2001. The image is located at 27.6, degrees N latitude, 60.2
E longitude.
